    Edge Chromium browser slowing down

About three weeks ago I downloaded the new Edge Chromium browser. It was noticeably faster than my older Edge browser. I look a a lot of E-Bay photos each day from the same seller. They are usually the same digital size, and now my Edge Chromium is displaying them on my screen at the same speed as my old Edge browser.

I ran all the DISM, and SFC tests. Ran Malwarebytes, and last night a full scan with the Microsoft Security Scanner, but found nothing obvious.

I was even wondering if it was possible to re-download and install Edge Chromium to see if my speed would resume as before.

Any thoughts is it just me ?

jacee thanks for the response. I did try as you suggested and cleared a number of things in the cache, but the browser is still slow.

    Appreciate your trying.

I found that the Malwarebytes Browser Guard extension slowed down web pages loading.

Is viewing the EBay photos the only issue, still fast on other sites ? I don't have the knowledge to explain, but perhaps the seller's photos on EBay have file characteristics not fully compatible with the new Edge.

Have you tried viewing photos of the same type on other sites ? Personally, unless they are really slow loading I would not consider reinstalling Edge - perhaps try another browser.

Originally I thought it was only photos loading slow, but it's everything with Edge Chromium.

I the interim I decided to uninstall as many things that I could do without. For example Norton Security: that was running out. I let it expire, and then uninstalled it. Found quite a few Norton files remained even after uninstall.
I have hunted them down and manually removed most, but some are will not give me permission to remove even though I am the administrator. but that's another issue I will work on.

I am going to mark this as solved as to not beat a dead horse.

Just hoping that just maybe the new 20H1 might solve my issue.

@smalltown high, I used to run norton and had more fun uninstalling it than any human should enjoy.
I went to Norton for their removal tool. Did nearly a complete job.
Here: Download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool

Slippery thanks. I have already run the Norton removal tool. It did not remove everything for me.
If I do a search for Norton on my system it finds oodles of Norton files left behind.

Edge Developer version is now running slower than the Release Version of Edge. Not a good sign for the future of Edge. Just sent a "feedback" to the Edge Development team. Hopefully enough others are too, to get this issue addressed.
