School Login locking down Personal PC

My daughter does her home work on one of our PCs
At times she need to access her personal gmail account. I forward any school information that I get to her personal email.

She usually has about 10 tabs open on Chrome browser. Multiple subjects etc.
She is also logged into her school k12 google login on Chrome as well as the tabs she is using.

When trying to log out of Chrome it gives her an error and says accounts.google.com is blocked.

When she tries to log onto edge browser she gets re-directed to google classroom login instead of her personal gmail (where she needs the emails that I send her)

Closing Chrome and opening it back up does no good.

Cannot log out of Chrome to log her into her personal account.

Any one know why Google has hi-jacked my PC? Or what I can do about it?

    Hi

I've seen something like that here in Ontario.

The way I got around it was to delete all browsing data.

Pretty sure it is not google but something in the school login.

As well you might try clicking on the picture or letters just to the left of the three dots. You might be offered the option to use another account.

I am checking with school, who knows when I will get a response.

not sure about wiping Chrome browser since she is still doing homework on it.

If I get a response from school district I will post it here.

You are not wiping browser you are deleting browser data. Her homework shouldn't be in any of these locations, rather it is stored on school servers.

Would be interested in what they say.

In the USA, every school district of every county of every state.....the IT departments do/have different login systems. Here in my state, county, school district......they use something called Chalkboard. Which in itself is independent of any browser on any PC, school or personal. So what the OP is going through doesn't happen.

I wish I could be more helpful.

Note: I was just informed that my school district tells students not to use personal PC to access the School network. As that's how a few hacks happened. I would just recommend using the school provided laptops.

I did talk to IT. well mostly though a voicemail and email.
    They locked down accounts.google/logout.
He temporarily unlocked it, but I want to make sure it doesnt happen again. So attempting to talk to him via phone call.
Still working on that. Will post another update when I talk to him.

Might I suggest you create a new user account for school work.

You could also ask support if you use that account will it lock entire machine or just that user?

I dont know if that is possible, since its the school account that the school assigns. And carries with them thoughout there school career .

Seems kind of messed up that they lock that though. With how things are going he is on a mobile line, and hard to get a hold of him. Probably will have more time midweek.

Sorry I wasn't clear. Not a new account with school, a new user on your Windows computer.

So there would be a user account you would sign into on your Windows machine (admin rights) and a user account (standard account) your child would use for school.

Ok finally talked to the Tech support guy.

We went though Chrome browser and could not log out.
My daughter had 2 profiles (default and school)
Opened the default one it let me logout and was able to get to new login for her normal account.

Edge was a little more tricky.
We loaded the new edge, tried clearing accounts etc.
All google logins where still redirecting to school site login.

Only thing that worked for that was to reset the browser.
Clearing all cookies etc did NOT work.
Once we reset it was fine and was able to get into google accounts and set up her normal information.

It was a one hour call but figured I would share, we tried alot of things. He even lifted school restrictions to no avail.
