i have a question about the pc speed

i have win10 enterprise and now after the last update my pc slows way down if i leave the browser up for any lenght of time. i did not have that issue ever before. if i click the x to close the browser it may take 13 to 30 seconds to shut the browser down.

if i leave the browser up and then come back say 60 minutes later and click on any tab it may take 15 seconds to open the tab.

i did a memory test by having the pc shut down and run the test and that came up and said all is good no errors.

like i said this did not happen before the last update so is anyone else having this issue. thanks

    build 1909 installed 12-29-2019 os build 18383.773

ihave chrome. at this time i have 16 tabs open. but i had that amount open before the last update without any issues. if i restart the pc it does good for ever if i keep using it but if i let it set for any time it slows way down.

i ran ccleaner, norton and malwarebytes, and it did not improve. but malwarebytes did tell me i had some issues , but did not tell me what they were. now even the spell check is not working like it did before. the date for this install was 12-29-2019 and before that i had the pro version. i was trying to install my fingerprint scanner back then and the pc got unstable so i had to do a reinstall of the os and i got enterprise in the new install. i never had any issues with pro version. but i do not know if the pro is better or worse than the pro version. the enterprise ver seems a bit more troublesome. but after this last update i got the pc has had some issues. like i said the spell check is not working like it did. and it is way slower. i thought it might be the internet speed but all the speed tests show up way higher than 100 mbps that i pay for.

sometimes i have to left click the spell check 2 or 3 times to get it to correct a word and sometimes it will not correct it.

that all started after the last update. so that is why i ask if that update had issues.
    thanks

ok for now i unpinned all those sites i had save for covid research and put them into a folder. now lets see if it still happens.

so now i have 4 pinned tabs and my email and ebay and i have had these site pinned tabbed now for over a year without issues. so let me run this again now for a day or so to see if the issue does return. thanks

I feel bad if I have more than 10 open.

    1. Do you reboot every day? If not, do.

    2. How much RAM do you have and how old is the PC?

    3. Install a different browser (Firefox or the new Edge) and

    a. open the same exact pages from Chrome
    b. make the new browser remember them (so that if you were to reboot the browser or PC, they call come back) (you may want to try this with two tabs first until you're sure it's working)
    c. reboot the computer, reopen the new browser with all those tabs... walk away for a while... come back and see

thanks i will run this with the 5 pinned tabs and see if it stays the same, if so i will uninstall the last update. i did not want to just install it without asking if that update had issues with others as well. thanks

I feel bad if I have more than 10 open. i had these tabs open like this since jan. and no issues like this

    1. Do you reboot every day? If not, do. i have not had to reboot my pc hardly ever. i do it when it updates. and never any issues

    2. How much RAM do you have and how old is the PC? 8gb ram and 2010 year of pc. but i ahve used this pc now for 5 years and nothing like this until the last update

    3. Install a different browser (Firefox or the new Edge) and i do not really want to use firefox anymore plus i have my bookmarks in chrome and never had issues with that browser either

    a. open the same exact pages from Chrome i use chrome now it also did this with the avast secure browser

    b. make the new browser remember them (so that if you were to reboot the browser or PC, they call come back) (you may want to try this with two tabs first until you're sure it's working)

    I can't imagine having 16 tabs open!!

You can sync Firefox with Chrome: Import bookmarks and other data from Google Chrome | Firefox Help
