    IE11 Dilema

    Win 10 Version 1903 (18362.778).

I really have to use Edge now. Is it safe to uninstal IE11? Edge does not show history, e.g today last week etc.
Am presumably getting myself in a tangle as usual..

    Keep well all,

    Hi, the 'original' Edge:

    As usual, there's a tutorial:
View Browsing History in Microsoft Edge in Windows 10

    - or are you now using the 'new' Edge?

You don't need to 'uninstall' IE. Just leave it..

Hi there. There are still a few features and third party programs that need IE or old Edge in order for some functionality to work.

You could create a restore point, remove IE and see how stable things are for a while. You can easily install it again in control panel - add-remove features.

I have turned off IE11 (control panel > programs > programs & features > turn Windows features on or off > uncheck IE11) almost as soon as i bought this PC (1909, 2 months old now) without any problems. Even spotlight is working (had to be reset a couple of times though).
Interstingly, when using CCleaner it still finds cookies and stuff in "Internet explorer" folders (there are separate folders for edge).

You may not be using Internet Explorer but there are Microsoft and third party applications that use it's components or the browser itself. This usage can be far from obvious. The so called Internet Explorer folders are not just used by Internet Explorer. There are Windows components and likely third party applications that use them as well. It is all a part of component reuse which all operating systems do. Why develop something new when there is already something there which is fully capable of doing the job.

Assuming you mean Edge Chromium, there doesn't seem to be a tutorial here on how to access browsing history with that, so see:
How to start using the new Microsoft Edge browser for Windows 10 | Windows Central

How to manage browsing history on Microsoft Edge Chromium

    (I searched for
    view history edge chromium
    )
