Always start in private browsing mode?

    Hello,

I know the shortcut trick about adding -inprivate or something like that at the end of the shortcut.

But how do I make it so that the program icon pinned to the task bar, when I click it, that it will automatically start in private?

I am asking for the latest version of Opera for Windows. I run Windows 10.

Thank you to everyone that tries to help me.

    Hello,

You could create the inprivate shortcut, and pin the shortcut to the taskbar to use instead.

    Edited... That doesn't work.

Hello admin, please unmark this as being solved. It did not actually work.

It works for the shortcut but not for the icon pinned on the taskbar.

Create a shortcut with this as the target:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" -inprivate

    Pin to task bar.

I tried this and it works for me.

It works for me when I create the Inprivate Opera shortcut using the target location below.

    %LocalAppData%\Programs\Opera\launcher.exe -private

Oh right. Yeah I figured it out now, I had copied the shortcut to my desktop but did not know that I had to pin the shortcut to the task bar by dragging it to the task bar. I thought that opening it then pinning it would work but I think that is what went wrong.

    Thanks.
