    Can't log in to Yahoo

I have tried to prove that I'm not a robot uncountable times. I have tried to click all the boxes with very poor quality pictures of hydrants, buses, pedestrian crossings and God knows what, but I'm just being sent in circles.

Do I really have to resort to resetting Windows? Again.

    Again ?

    Sorry to hear that.

Can I ask what mail client you are using?

    If a browser, which one?

    Have you cleared browsing data?

Are you using any special tools for Privacy, VPN's, system cleaning, registry optimization, etc?

Yes, again. I've had the trouble on and off for a few days.

I use Yahoo mail, and Chrome.

I use CCleaner, but I leave the register alone.

CCleaner also sweeps cookies. Could I recommend you stop using CCleaner to see if you gain email stability.

Were you using "keep me signed in" or did you "save password in Chrome"?

Do you see an entry in the saved passwords in Chrome for Yahoo mail.

Did you clear browsing data. Strange the Capthca is failing, even with crummy pictures you would think you are hitting the right boxes.

    Thank you Ken.

I had only recently reinstalled CCleaner after not having it for a long time. But I have uninstalled it again.

Not sure about "keep me signed in" or "save password ...."

Also not sure about clearing browsing data.

Usually when you log in there will be a box with words like "keep me logged in"

Actual words for yahoo are "Stay Signed In"

This process places a cookie on your machine and uses that to "log" you back in. These can be deleted by cleaners and AV's.

The other method is to allow Google to save your user name and password.

Click on the three dots in upper right corner (menu), then settings and look for Autofill

    Can't log in to Yahoo-image.png

If you click on arrow head to the right of the word Password you will see how yours is set up. You will also see what sites you've remember passwords for. Delete your Yahoo entry if being remembered.

    To clear browsing data

Again three dots, more tools, clear browsing data.

    Can't log in to Yahoo-image.png

a Window opens, you click on Advance and select All time

    Can't log in to Yahoo-image.png

Then pick the categories you want to delete. Cookies and Cached Images and files for sure should be deleted. Of course deleting cookies will mean signing in again to sites where you've stored cookies. I would not delete the category "Passwords".

Once you've selected categories to delete click "Clear Data"

I have Firefox installed but don't use it. I installed it so that I coiuld also install the YouTube downloader application.

I assume that Chrome is updated automatically.

To clear the Chrome Browser you need to tick boxes such as:
Cookies and other site data, Passwords and other sign-in data, Autofill form data.

Same idea with any Web Browser.

The reason for that is if you incorrectly enter a password that will get saved, maybe as autofill or other data which you do not want.

I go further, and go to Windows Control Panel > Credential manager > Web Credentials.
In there you should find 2 or more entries for Yahoo logins > Identify them and Remove these, then they will be regenerated with correct entries when Windows says something like Do you want to save sign in credentials or something like that.

Make 100% sure when you sign in that details are correct before saving.
