    Cannot Receive Email From Comcast


    The last topic I started to this forum got essentially no response for what is now 3 weeks. I'm hoping for a better result. (If anyone's interested, the thread title is Cannot Access Outlook Email - Password Problem).

    Anyway, my best friend has his email at PTD.net. And it seems to work perfectly, except for this 1 guy who is a rock 'n' roll bandmate of my buddy's. His email is with Comcast and my friend cannot get any emails from him. He can send him emails, but when the Comcast guy hits reply, my buddy doesn't receive it. Comcast guy gets no error in his inbox and his sent box contains the reply he sent to PTD. My friend's PTD email gets mail from me and all the other guys in the band, and the guy with Comcast gets email from everybody and can reply to everybody but PTD.

    I have no idea what to check next.

    Has he checked whether it ends up in the SPAM folder?

    Another thing to check, go to Comcast's Webmail/Online E-Mail link, usually on the ISP's Web page and using the E-Mail address/User name and password for the account see if the messages are even getting to Comcast. I seldom use Outlook or other installable E-Mail Client. I can access my E-Mail from any computer connected to the Internet. Besides my ISP and my Domain Host's application I have addresses at Hotmail.com, Outlook.com [by Microsoft but not the same as Outlook], Gmail and a couple others.

    I must have phrased the question badly... it's the PTD.net email that isn't receiving mail from Comcast, not the other way around. The emails from PTD are getting to Comcast.
