    Minimizing the browser window

How can I minimize a browser window that is open? When I click on the minimize icon, the browser disappears. It's icon doesn't show on the taskbar.
I have to click on the browser icon to reopen the browser, and the site I was working on has disappeared.

A few days ago my wife drew my attention to her Win 8.1 IE browser where the Minimize, Maximize and Close icons had suddenly disappeared from the top of the browser. I checked the problem on my Win 10 Edge browser and managed to create the same problem! I also found the problem on both of our email clients windows - OEClasssic.

Neither of us have ever seen that behaviour before on any OS, so assume that it is due to recent general update changes?

By various tricks involving ensuring that all possibility of either OS assuming that we have touch screens, the incidence has reduced, but it still happens over this week, apparently unpredictably.

The only way I can keep it more or less under control is to manually resize windows so that they just do not reach the top edge of her monitor's screen. (My Edge browser seems to be normal again today.)

    Added about 5 hours later.

Win 10 Edge has just lost the icons again! If I move the cursor arrow over where they should be, they individually appear when the cursor reaches the correct area!

    Tony,

You will get a much better response if you create a thread of your own. Your problem bears no relation to the problem the original poster had.

Look near the top of the page - Forum tools, Post a new thread.

Added later after OP started the new thread - It can be found here Browser controls unstable - TenForums

    Best of luck,
    Denis
