I see no advantage in using Edge Chromium in preference to Google's Chrome browser.

Doesn't Edge Chromium block undesirable stuff like 3rd party trackers where Google's Chrome does not? That would be an advantage...

Thanks for all of the additional replies. I will probably install it within the next week or so. I always keep my Macrium Reflect image updated before making any major changes (like installing the new Edge browser.

Edge Chromium allows you to block trackers (in my summary Google has been blocked over 1000 times in a week, along with a lot of others and I have never used any Google sites directly), it has Defender Smart Screen support built in, allows you to block potentially unwanted/ dangerous downloads. The privacy settings are very configurable.
All this may be supplied with other browsers but Edge is designed from the ground up with Windows 10 support baked in, by the same company that makes Windows.
Other browsers may have better features at the moment but Edge is growing and I see no reason to use a 3rd party browser if Edge works for me, which it does.

I installed Chromium Edge a few weeks ago with no issues. It even recognized my Google Chrome bookmarks and passwords. Flawless so far....

I installed it a few hours ago and it seems to work well. The only thing I couldn't make to work is setting it up to Open page in Internet Explorer. Maybe it doesn't work with Windows 10 Home. Not a big deal as I really don't use IE.

I also use Edge Chromium at work. Huge improvement over the old one.
