Getting Windows Mail Up and running in Win 10

So I want to get myself out of Thunderbird and into Windows Mail; Had Windows Live Mail and it was perfect for me; unfortunately it is unsupported and gone. Miss it a lot. So, got Mail up and running with 2 accounts, mine and my wife's .
First issue is how do I change the assigned name to the accounts. Both are in my name in "people or contact list" but my wife's name should come up under her account. If I want to forward to my wife it come under my name. Her name, though listed in contact list go to my name.

Secondly, I cant seem to be able to drop an email form my account over to hers. Bit of a learning curve for me but working on it. I will leave Thunderbird working until I feel safe with Windows Mail.

Hi, just for clarification, are you talking about resurrecting Winmail as in Windows 7 e.g.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Mail
    - this is still present in Win 10 in part

or the UWP Mail app, supplied with Windows 10?

If the latter, note this is a somewhat basic Mail app with far fewer features than Thunderbird.

no this is windows mail as it arrived with a new install on a new P.C. last September. Strange thing happening; working on it; as I said if I look at my wife's name under contacts she shows up correctly with her personal email address. If I go to send her, or forward her an email from my account I start typing in the TO box and her name won't show up. If I locate her in contacts and direct that to the send box it changes to my name.

Choose Settings in the Mail app from where you can set the account name

This is the Windows 10 Mail App(UWP), and the linked Contacts App.

You add your wife's Email Account separately, choose whatever name suits you for each Account.
Right click Account > Account settings > In Account name box change to what you want. Then Save at the bottom of that page.

From post #3, that is because of Auto-complete. The suggestions are more than what is in Contacts.

"Secondly, I cant seem to be able to drop an email form my account over to hers."

That was a problem with the Mail App a while back, for certain types of Email, and I demonstrated that to MS sometime ago. They were not convinced.
Maybe some kind of security issue, no idea.
Forwarding to the other Account seems to work which is basically another way to do it.

I realize that I am going from what I am used to using to something new and different to me. Having the contact list open and sitting in the left pane is normal to me; but not in MAIL is seems. Will be some adjusting for me to deal with. I was talking on the phone to a local Microsoft beta tester and PRO ( that's what I call him ; used to work together ) and he told me that he never really liked MAIL at all and stayed with Outlook from various versions of Office. I have Outlook 2007 on this PC and I do recall Outlook Express way, way back and that it was difficult to setup and get running. Might try that for a look-see. Just want to find something that I will be happy with.
Work in progress and I do thank you all for input so far and will look into settings to see if there is a name issue I can alter.

Ok; right clicked into setting for both separate accounts; changed the name from gmail and gmail 2 to our names; my wife's was gmail2. Same issue. If I send my wife an email from my account which I would rarely due as I can forward items to her ( used to just click/hold then drag over to her inbox ); nevertheless I want to find out why, when I choose her name ( which shows her personal email address under it, changes over to my name where SEND to is. I dont get it. Came up doing initial account testing.

Now I have tried to FORWARD an item to my wife's account being that I cant seem to MOVE an item over from mine to hers. When I choose her name it still comes up with my name when I sent it to the post and arrives in her account with my name on it. still weird to me. Will keep looking.
