Stop Windows Edge from Running in the Background

Can we stop 'Windows Edge' from running in the background?

    Should we?

    Hello Emeth,

The tutorial below can help show you how to turn on or off allowing all or specific apps to run in the background.

The 'BunnyJ'; a great name for a sail boat

Actually, when using CCleaner, it asks to shut down Edge before cleaning, (however, it skips cleaning it anyway).

Thanks Brink; I have already done that.

Rechecking the 'Task Manager', it seems that it is 'Not' running in the background; at least not that we can see?

CCleaner utility seems to think that it is running but refuses to clean it?

However, the question still remains as to whether Edge is a security question as Cortana seems to be.
