Want to get rid of the tabs linked to the sides of my internet screen

    hi ...

using w10p64, every time i go on the internet, there are a number tabs attached to either both or one side edge of the screen such as facebook, twitter, email, pintrest, gmail, messenger to name but a few ... very, VERY annoying ... i don't have any use for them and they forever get in the way.
if anyone has any idea of how to ditch them forever, please, i would love to hear from you.

Hi, Michael. Which browser are you using? If you can post a pic of what you see, that's always very helpful. These things are browser dependent, that's why the question.

Some useful info can be found for this issue if you do a search for something like 'irritating ads making browsing experience bad'.

Hi Everyone, I just noticed under My Computer it says Pale Moon as the browser. This article might help if it is the same version.

Hi, You did not post a screenshot or say which version of Palemoon you are using. I downloaded 28.8.3, and I had to sign in with my email address, and then the 3 dots came up to be able to delete the crap off the page. Hope this helps.

    to ethel ...
hi and apologies for forgetting to include the palemoon page and version ref with my last post.
    it's version 28.8.3.
some of the adverts that i want to get rid of (the numbers vary) are facebook & twitter plus 4 or 5 others ... don't know what they are or do ... but i've seen them anchored to either the right or left or both edges. the attachments show 2 examples on the right edge but in attempting to upload them, i think i got a bit lost ... perhaps more than just a bit.

Hi Michael, I just installed Palemoon in a sandbox to see what you are talking about. And I think I know whats bothering you. Your issue is that Palemoon is opening using its own Start page (Pale Moon Start). To solve your issue you just have to change the page that shows up when Palemoon starts. You can change it to a favorite website of yours or set it up as a blank page.

See here, to see where you make the change so you wont get that noisy ugly Palemoon start page when you open the browser.

If you select Blank page, Palemoon will start like this instead of as in the previous screen.

Hi Everyone, You can also use the Pale Moon page by just back spacing over the Start page address where it says Homepage, and Pale Moon homepage is still there.Want to get rid of the tabs linked to the sides of my internet screen-palemoon3.png
