    Deleted items in Windows Mail

I have some 300 items in my Windows Mail deleted folder. Is there any way I can tell Mail to hold only the latest 50 deleted items only rather than occasionally enter the folder and delete a number of older items by hand?

Thanks in advance for all help.

Such settings are usually done at mail provider site (online). For gmail, go to gmail.com, for Microsoft mails go to outlook.com etc.

You can set rules for almost anything there. You have to tell us which provider do you use (but don't post your e-mail - can be security risk, and you'll just get spam..)

Remember email is stored on an on your providers email server. You use your email client to access this email on the server. If you have IMAP email the email is stored of the server and is deleted from the server. POP3 email downloads the emails to you PC and there is a setting on the server where you can delete after they download. When i had POP3 is left the delete after download unchecked so i could get the same emails on multiple devices.

I'm using outlook 365 at work and there is a check box that allows me to delete all deleted records at exit. I google to see if there are any clients that allow you to do this and it didn't show any.
