    Pinning favorites open in Edge

I had previously tried the Beta version and discovered that there didn’t seem to be a way of pinning open my favourites panel (NOT bar) and having them stay open when the browser is closed and reopned.

I had already had to change from having it on the right with Internet Explorer to the left with Edge, something I would rather not have done. Now the option to keep the panel permanently open seem to have vanished unless there is an extension that can do it?

Try clicking on Favourites - Manage Favourites - Right click at the TOP of the open tab
    and click on Pin Tab

If you open and close the browser your pinned tab will still be there
To undo the pinned tab just right click on the pinned tab and select - Unpin Tab

I don't see an option to pin tab. I am using new edge beta version to try this as I have deliberatley prevented new edge from installing as I dont want it if I cant pins the favourites panel open. Has it changed between the beta and the final release?

I'm not sure of EDGE BETA - as I use the stable edge version - and can pin tabs on the Edge Browser

I tried this but it doesn't keep the favourites open and the pinned panel has gone when I go to another tab.

I'm having no problem with it saving the pinned tabs and clicking on each saved tabs
and still there when I open and close the edge browser

If you have saved tabs and want to go to new site/webpage click on the + new tab

ARE YOU RIGHT CLICKING ON THE TAB TO SAVE IT AS PINNED TAB

The new tab I go to doesnt have the column of favourites like you could do in IE and old Edge.

You could always go SETTINGS - APPEARANCE - And select SHOW FAVOURITES BUTTON
And then use the favourites button - To view your favourites and select a favourite to view
    Rather than pinning the tab
