Warning by avast Extension for this site.
Today I noticed I was getting a warning about this site.
Just thought i would mention it.
The extention is Avast online security, for chrome, firefox edge etc

Definitely a false positive....but then again its Avast, and their reputation is totally shot now. Get rid of Avast, and use default Windows Defender.

Not really, random users voted it down, most likely because of Google Analytics or simply because of spite.

What is the point of using the same AV twice? Avast web-protection does the same. Try these instead:

It's quite possible that Avast does not "like" this site, as we have always strived to tell the truth, avast was one of the finest Free antivirus options for many years, but then something changed, not so much in the software but at the company itself.
These changes were widely reported at the time and discussed at length here, the business practices used were often (quite rightly), slated by our members, and as many were users of the software, this was also duplicated in their comments on the Avast site, which have very likely sured our reputation with Avast

You can re-install Avast without that Web protection feature, or that extension. The feature has not been good for a very long time. Never installed the feature when I used Avast.
Web Browsers like Chrome, Edge etc have their own similar feature which you can switch on in their settings.
If you install a number of similar products, even if part of an AV suite then you will always get false positives or useless info which you then have to deal with.

Yea I read about there situation regarding Avast’s sale of user data through its subsidiary Jumpshot.
This can not be defended in any way. They will lose a lot of subscribers, with only themselves to blame. In my opinion greed played a large part in it.
I have been with Avast for over 10 years and have had no major infections.
I was once caught with chrome being installed when I installed Avast.
After my subscription expires I will be giving serious consideration of not renewing my subscription.
