    Not following exactly.
So when you attach an email and send it sometimes it doesn't get to recipient?

One thing I can think of ...... When you attach a file, the time it takes to attach is dependent on how big the file is. The attachment has to be upload to the server on the Internet.

There is usually an indicator that shows you progress. If you send before it is fully uploaded it will not be attached.

The other things I can think of are

    1) Files are to big, each service has its own limits
    2) Some services won't allow certain types of files, zip and exe in particular are rejected.

If the website is controlling the dialog for browsing to the file you want then it might be the case that the website cannot interact properly with your browser.

IE is particularly prone to such limitations. I routinely use IE but have to mark several of my {IE} Favorites as requiring a modern browser instead. Just by way of example,
    - Amazon delivery tracking works with Firefox but not IE.
    - My electricity supplier's website also needs me to switch across to Firefox for managing my account.
