The Bing chat icon does not appear in the address bar. It's next to the search box of the new tab page.

As others have noted - this suggestion simply changes the default search provider in the actual address bar. This "Chat" icon is sitting at the end of the Search option on a New Tab page. And it wasn't there a week or two ago.

It appears that MS is really going hard on shoving all the GPT nonsense right down our throats.

I suppose I could simply ignore it as I never ever type anything in that Search field that appears on the new tab page.

OR - could hit GPEDIT and cook up a different home page to come up when opening a new tab. Hmmm...
