I just tried a "reset settings in Edge. I had to turn a few settings back on after, but not many. And, I had to turn the ad blocker back on.

The "on startup" feature now works. I have no idea why. Perhaps it will work for others.
A reset fixed it for me as well temporarily. But that only lasted until I reset my settings.
I seem to have narrowed it down to changing "Search engine used in the address bar"
As soon as I change that to Google, or anything other than Bing, it breaks the start page.

    peace

For those who are constantly seen a "Use recommended browser settings" prompt in version 91, it can be disabled with this flag:

Apparently it is enabled by default.

Curious, what does the value of 'Default' mean in Edge?

How does one know if it's Enable or Disabled by default?

    Is Default always considered enabled?

I'm use to Firefox's about:config showing bold setting names that have changed from the default.

K, Microsoft has to cut it out with their under cover/push marketing tactics!!!

I realize MS wants world domination, but, for pete's sake...

why have an option hidden behind a flag...

and then realize, after a couple weeks of negative feedback, "Oops, maybe we p*ssed too many people off; maybe we should make it an up-front option or get rid of it all together"

    Getting to be absolutely ridiculous!
