I don't but as fast as I add new ones, the earlier ones disappear!
If I delete the new ones, the old ones reappear, so they are still there but hidden, yet there is no scroll bar to display them all at the same time.
That's because they don't have Pin option like FF but when I set these 8 they are staying put. If you delete one, next one appears in the order they were opened.

Same as @CountMike I'm on Version 88.0.705.50 (Official build) (64-bit) and yet apparently our machines are behaving differently.

Don't suppose the Winver is relevant? I'm still on Winver 1909 (OS Build 18363.1256) but IMO that really should not matter at all

Oddly, I can only get a total of 7 quick links, whereas you can get 8.
In the insider versions, Microsoft is experimenting with the number of top sites that can be added, that's why in those versions each user has a different number of tiles, for example, I have 15 top sites in the NTP (which, in my opinion, will be the maximum number of top sites that Microsoft will allow to add) but other users only have 8 or 10. Also, in those insiders versions, the "add a site" tile has disappeared due to a bug, I mentioned it here. Apparently, from what CountMike shows, Microsoft has started experimenting with this in the stable release as well.

I just recently tried to experiment with settings, starting to worm up to Edge, hated the original one.

That's crazy - we've both ( @CountMike and me) got the same version number and it's a stable / official build so how the hell can the code be different?
Are you implying that MS is somehow dynamically altering software that's actually been installed on peoples machines?

That has been known for a long time, Microsoft can enable and disable features via server at any time and they do so not only in the insider versions but also in the stable version.

PS, when I say "insider version" and "stable version", I mean both, Windows 10 and Edge.

Hang on - let me get this right.....
I install Edge (or any other MS product) on my PC, and MS can patch my installed version on my machine without my knowledge...or are you saying it comes via Updates?
