    Hi forum

Since version 87 (stable version) I get the message below:
"Updates are underway. Wait a few minutes, then refresh the page."
I had no problem before that. I didn't change settings in Edge and my latest Edge version is "87.0.664.41 (Official build) (64-bit)".

I have latest version by downloading offline installer, but nothing work again when I click on "About Ms Edge" and check for update I get the message above that I mentioned. Edge is not blocked in Firewall too!

    Any suggestion?

Maybe M$ is playing tricks on us? Evert time I click on a link from my e-mail it locks up Edge.

… I like Edge (it's fast, Chrome extension support and OS native browser you don't need to install another extra browser after Windows installation) but they are (Microsoft) injecting their policy into every URL that user visits!

My big problem is I can't get the NTP completely blank(!) and the default search engine in default search box is Bing (even you select Google as your default SE!).

A few days ago this flag was added in Edge Canary:

But the new option to move tabs between different profiles only started working from today:

The problem with e-mail links is my Windows Live Mail. Maybe re-installing it will fix it. Standby

Well, that repair job didn't work. Links from the built-n Windows email works, but I still use Windows Love Mail.

Yeah with this update the jerks added:
Save time and money with Shopping in Microsoft Edge
We’ll automatically find you the best prices and coupons from across the web as you shop.
    at Privacy/services.

Which took me awhile to find an turn off.
I went to Samsung downloads to see if any new NVMe or Magician updates, and a big popup(I always torn popups off) appeared and said here be coupons. I found it very annoying.

They just keep on adding the bloat, and slowing browsing down,
A lot of crap, like collections too, can be addons if the user wants them, but building them in and adding background tasks just bloats the system even more.
Plus stuff like this can be used by bad actors and misused to ping them and get malware on the system.

And last but not least, for the privacy conscious, it's added tracking
Good news @Cliff Microsoft removed the "Save time and money with Shopping in Microsoft Edge" that used to be right below the Pinterest option in the latest Edge stable (Version 87.0.664.47 (Official build) they must have heard your feedback from a continent or two away.
