I have had this new version for some time in my slow lane build running alongside the original. It has been largely ignored. Today, there was an update to one of my regular W10 pc's which has forced me to use it. I suppose I will get used to it eventually, as changing to another browser would be just as much bother.

I prefer to sign in afresh with any forum, or similar, like ebay every time the pc is switched on. I always shut down when I have finished. This new version of edge saves anything I am signed into and I haven't been able to delete them. I have been through the browser settings and cannot seem to be able to figure any of it out. Even the on-off switches do not indicate which is off and which is on. I managed to do something which prevented me from signing into any forum and the only resort was the reset. I seems to me that going to Firefox is going to be a good idea after all.

These settings should be what you want in Edge:

I found that and set it exactly to your recommendation, shut down windows, and when I restarted and opened edge, I was still logged in to this forum. I had already tried every combination of switches earlier.
I then changed the switches to the black spot/white background, shut down windows/restarted and I was still here.
Up until yesterday, when the new edge installed itself without even asking me, I would have had to log back on to anything.

It is based on Chromium and it has Stable, Beta, Dev and Canary releases. So the Chromium Project kills the bugs as the versions move along in the process.

Go to Settings - Appearance and there is an option to Show Favorites Bar. Mine is set to Always.

    Hi,
    Good I'll check that
One more thing switching to new tabs as created seems this edge chrome acts the same as real chrome opening new tabs behind the original one :/
