Is Edge Chromium able to be used within Windows 7? I have some old programmes that won't transfer so I keep the Win 7 desktop in working order, but it would be nice to have the same browser as I use on my main, Win 10, desktop.

These operating systems are out of support and Microsoft recommends you move to a supported operating system such as Windows 10. While Microsoft Edge helps keep you more secure on the web, your PC may still be vulnerable to security risks. In order for IE mode to be supported on these operating systems the devices will need to have the Extended Security Updates for Windows 7. Without the Windows 7 Extended Security updates Internet Explorer functionality will be vulnerable to security risks. Additionally, IE mode functionality may cease to work without the continued servicing through the extended security updates.
Took a bit of searching to find the download! As I first looked from my Win 10 desktop it kept insisting that I already had Edge!
Transferring the search to the other desktop using slooow IE11 finally got me an offer to download for Win 7
Then it all went smoothly.
