Sorry about asking a dumb question. The 2020 events took over other life matters and since this thread now reaches 520 posts, that's making it a little hard searching through.

The 4 links posted at the beginning by Brink didn't have the answers I was searching.
Microsoft had the info I think way back in January on their site which apparently has since been taken down or updated.

MS seems to be experts at hype. So much so, that they manage to make things more confusing than anything

Could anyone help out on a few simple questions?

Now that feature updates have been optional after upgrading to version 1903 or 1909, if I want to install ( I guess Edge stable … maybe) would it be better to wait to install the browser after the 20H1 feature update ? Or wouldn't it make any difference at this point ? (installing the May feature update before or after Chromium Edge stable)

I haven't seen the 20H1 feature update this month.

    I'm on build OS 18363.836 ver. 1909
    Microsoft Edge HTML 18.18363

Nothing auto with Edge Chromium stable happened when I did 19041. What's the best (safest) way to get the stable installed?

The question I had may not have any relevance to Edge (stable). But a pause for concern was that 20H1 is a much bigger update than November 2019 . A slow rollout process in Windows Update is expected so there are no bugs popping up.

My question was to imply what would be the wisest choice to make about doing 19041 through Windows Update AND upgrading to Chromium Edge Stable. MS Update Assistant or the Insider Program wasn't part of the picture I had in mind.

Your question summed up an underlying point. What is the best (safest) way to install Edge stable ?
