Unusual to release an update on a Sunday.
Must either that the 93.0.961.44 security update didn't work or caused problems.

Or there is a zero day security vulnerability that is currently being exploited.

May I ask a dumb question? What's the difference between the first and the last versions mentioned above. Yes, I know beta means in development. But Canary? And Dev? And for the average guy/gal, what is so great? I've tried using Edge, and get stuck with Bing & other stuff I don't want to use. DuckDuckGo is the search engine for me.
I'll leave the explanations of Canary, Dev etc to others because I really only use the stable version - got too much to do otherwise!

I use Chrome and Edge with different settings for different purposes. It's a bit like having 2 very similar browsers operating independently on one system.

I NEVER use Bing - I choose to use Google search but have DuckDuckGo and Startpage too. I happen to have them saved on my Favourites bar.

I set my Edge Start page to open at Google (Go to settings > Start, home and new tabs or edge://settings/startHomeNTP) plus you can set DuckDuckGo — Privacy, simplified. as a home page and / or allow the Home button to go there, thus:

    Any help?

    ...But Canary?

Coal miners used to bring a canary in a cage into the mines with them. It would fall off its perch from carbon monoxide before it was at a level to affect the miners, giving them advanced warning. The Canary build is the furthest advanced, least stable, and first to find new bugs.
