Been connecting with an Edge dev team member on the white flashes. They have fixed one of them so far and I am helping them to pinpoint the cause of the other two areas they show. Hopefully they can fix it. Still using Edge as my main for over a week now. I can avoid the white flashes using a method I devised. Only one I cannot avoid is when starting the browser, but that is super fast and every browser I have does it.

    Something I noticed today.
My CPU clock has been pegged at a steady 5GHz(my 24/7 OC setting) and running at 15% when browsing in Chredge, normal is 3%.

I looked in Task Manager and found the culprit to be vmmem.
After using some BingFu, I found out that it has to do with WDAG(Application Guard).
WDAG is not even open, or has been for months

Any how I uninstalled WDAG and now processor speed and utilization are back to normal.

I don't know if the cause is the latest Chredge update, or Patch Tuesdays' security updates.

Just curious anyone else with WDAG installed/turned on, seeing this?
I know @Brink has all the advanced stuff turned on, how about you Shawn?

    Hey Cliff,

I don't have WDAG enabled. I found it too buggy for now.

I notice this one, and wonder why in the world they removed it to begin with.

"Provide option to keep specific cookies when choosing to clear browsing data on close."

The current beta release has that option. But I notice it's now gone in the Dev and Canary releases.

Seems like a no brainer to me that you would want to be able to do that.

So I have some weird issue with the new Edge: it won't let me save any videos (mp4, webm etc).
Nothing happens when I right click a video page and press "save as" or clicking the video directly and pressing "save video as". Even pressing "Download" from the ... menu of the native player does absolutely nothing.
Thing is, everything works just fine in Windows Sandbox on the same machine but on my main desktop (non-virtual) nothing happens: no save dialogue pop-up whatsoever as if the buttons don't work.
This has been an issue for a very long time and I don't know what can cause this. Any ideas?
Clean install/different browser profile don't have any effect, no errors in the console.

Same as the 14th those release notes and links are for the 11th.

I still do not know what I got fixed/added/broken on the 14th as I missed the initial page that loads after update.

EDIT : There is no "Whats New" page pops up now, would make sense as I was not sure how I missed it last update.

Straight from the cutting edge < 11th not 14th or 19th
