hi, finally updated to 90.x it worked, additionally updated again now to Version 90.0.818.41. In addition the about > download check is fast again, fixed for me too.
Doesn't anybody feel that the download menu has too small font? download speed and stuff, MB left, etc, that's like font 6 or something - i am sending feedback to make that bigger.

The edge://components page still isn't working.
Every component throws an "Update error" message.
So there are still issues on MS side.
The Dev gets updated weekly. I use this as my default browser and don't have a problem with weekly updates. It is easier to keep track of changes.
Unlike other MS stuff where the update strategies are confusing. For example Windows 10 now has multiple versions. The Microsoft 365 Enterprise and Business tenants are subjected to multiple changes daily which are time consuming to keep up with (I do this for my day job).
I can assure you DEV does not get weekly update though it claims to.
I reported a bug and got feedback so await a fix.
If you do not want daily changes do not use Canary (or similar) for any MS software.
Where did I state I use Edge Canary?

I said "Canary or similar" and never stated you used or said you used Canary my comment was not being literal.
None of which had absolutely anything to do with DEV updates (including the small silent ones with no "changelog") or lack of them.
