    The devs are quite funny. They stopped 1 single white flash. (have a settings page open along with another tab of a website. have the restore previous session setting enabled. make sure to have the settings page in view. close Edge. open Edge. before after restart, the website tab would flash white when clicked on, before loading. now it does not)

    Please tell me that I DON'T have to install an add-on to make my new tabs open as a blank page?!?

    Perhaps, if the devs spent a fraction more time thinking about basic user functionality instead of mugging for the camera, simple things like being able to have a 'blank page' option for new tabs would be possible?

    Nope, you can disable show quick links, and image of the day and set content to off.
