    Vivaldi Browser

I am trying Vivaldi Browser (Chromium Based, Version 2.10.1746.26) and am pleased and impressed with it's speed, ease of use, and customizability. I've previously been using Firefox and Chromium Edge, but Vivaldi is my preference over each of them at this time. I am getting no crashes and no Windows reliability history with Vivaldi. And CCleaner will "Smart Clean it on closure of the browser. It's worth a look, if you are interested in a browser change.

It's my preferred browser too and I've used it for more than one year. I still keep a few other browsers (installed & portable)

Ditto on liking Vivaldi. Also like Vivaldi the composer and Four Seasons.

My #1 choice as well. Its homepage makes me feel like I'm home. Especially now that edge has got rid of acrylic Vivaldi is also one of the better looking browsers.

Reflects the sheer passion of developers (even firefox comes next to Vivaldi in this regard).

i use this old topic... i hope it will no problem ^_^

well some feature that i think missed from vivaldi

    1. Permanent site zoom level...
everytime we change the zoom on 1 web. then we close vivaldi, then re open... that web's zoom level return to default zoom set...

    2. Clear Data On Exit with Exception / whitelist (i compare to edge)

    3. ad-block feature: need custom block just like ublock origin that we can choose custom frame/blocked area

    4. vivaldi menu to stop running on background

    thankyou

Finally migrated over to Vivaldi last weekend (Pale Moon -> Chrome -> Vivaldi) and must admit I am really impressed by it - hugely configurable and have it working roughly how I would like now. There are still a few little things but @Callender may have crossed one of those off the list with the 'Use Tab Zoom" option. Can now view this site at a slightly higher %age which was bugging me a bit.

Well that didn't survive a reboot - back to 100% again after that. Will have to look into how to resolve that issue a bit more.

And while I am at it... My bookmarks were a disorganised mess and that was before transferring them from Pale Moon -> Chrome -> Vivaldi. They need organising but the built in bookmark management in Vivaldi isn't doing much for me currently so does anyone have a recommendation for a decent bookmark manager?

I've never had that issue. However I should point out that I use a standalone install and update that.

Using a standalone version of Vivaldi | Vivaldi Browser Help

Maybe backup bookmarks and clean install. That means delete or rename your personal profile in

    C:\Users**{user}**\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\

Or rename and move to another folder somewhere else.

Then reinstall Vivaldi and import bookmarks. Then adjust settings.

I'd still recommend using the standalone version with manual update checks only.

    thankyou for your reply,
    yes I find that
but you can try setting zoom there at 90%
open a website .. let's say Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos
then it should display yahoo with a 90% zoom
then try to change the zoom to 80%. after that close the tab...
    re-open yahoo...
it will be showing with 90% again not "save" the 80% just like chrome and edge.

Already tried it with other sites and if I drag the zoom slider and then close the browser and relaunch it my preferred 90% zoom is restored as set in settings.

Just for info I'm using the latest standalone 32bit version on a 64bit machine.
