New Edge beta: why can't I save URLs using drag'n'drop?

I installed the new Edge beta and like it a lot. The time and screen real-estate savings due to its anti-tracking features are extremely welcome!

But one feature is again lacking (as initially also in the "old" Edge):
One can not "tear off" (drag) a URL from the URL-field and save (drop) it e.g. on the desktop or in some folder. Hope they add that to the program soon. I consider this an essential feature of a browser!

Very strange! When I just double checked again it indeed worked for me, too. Yesterday evening I had tried multiple times and it had *not* worked. Odd!
    Thanks for responding!

Certain sites will not let you do it AFAIK, same with trying to open new link by middle clicking.

Ah - that might explain why it didn't work for me in the first attempt. But why would a browser "obey" such non-sense and limit a user by honoring such a restriction.
Seems similar to some sites, that don't allow you to zoom in or out. Such stupidity regularly drives me nuts!
