Browser recommendations

IE11 is being supported by less & less websites, so at times, I've been using Edge. I don't like using Edge, I find it less customizable, heard & read that it's not as secure as many other browsers & throws messages & warnings at me from time to time even though I've told it not to. It also will not remember my setting when I need to use Google Authentication.

So, as far as security, privacy, customization & being light on the system; what's a good browser to go with?

Edge is said (by Microsoft, at least) to be one of the most secure browsers. This is in part due to it being an App so 'sandboxed' at all times.

I agree with the rest of your sentiments though, The original Edge is due to be replaced shortly with a complete re-write based on Chromium, currently in Beta.

My browser of choice is Firefox.

Yeah, read a little about that. So are we getting a new Edge/is Edge being fully replaced? That's my question.

All modern browsers seem to do that. Firefox and the chromium Edge do too....



Running everything in one process as IE seems to do would presumably risk all processes hanging if one process crashed.
