Is the version of MS Edge in 1909 (18363) the Chromium based one?

I know that we Edge users are in a small minority, but...

I recently updated to 1909 from 1903. I'm not in the Release Preview ring; I used an .iso from UUPDump.

My Edge favorites were scrambled. That leads me to wonder whether Edge underwent a more major change than in past Win10 updates.

A quick Web search on the version numbers (Microsoft Edge 44.18362.446.0, Microsoft EdgeHTML 18.18363) didn't reveal anything.

I'm far removed from being a developer. Just a hobbyist. Does anyone know whether 1909 delivered the change to Chromium, or is that still in the future?

1909 does not include the new Edge as of yet. If it will be included in the public release still remains to be seen.
The fact that your current edge favorites were adversely affected, is an oddity I have not seen in any of my upgrades.

There is a fairly comprehensive write up of 1909 at Bleeping computers, no mention of Edge though.

The first page contains a link to a feature list as well.
