IE can shortcut can be created to open in private browsing mode.
example: "C:\Program files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe" -private.
I'm pretty sure one of the recent updates stopped the -private command working on Edge shortcuts, I've not seen any workarounds yet as most folks now have abandoned old Edge for the new Chrome based Edge Beta.
