EM Client - "save image as" - Not saving photos attached to emails

I am trying out EM Client since I have about a dozen email addresses to check and respond to. I have a problem saving images attached and imbedded in emails.

When I right click on the photo for options and pick "save image as" the dialog box vanishes and nothing happens.

Normally you would get a windows with a directory option to save the photo - nothing.

I have searched options and nothing seems related to this issue.

Anyone using the program have the same issue OR know what to do to resolve it?

    Thanks!

    Confirmed bug. See here:

Issues saving in email images or attachements | eM Client Free Customer Support

I can confirm that 7.2.36694 has this bug, so if you are using it, uninstall it. Then you can and download the previous version of eM Client from the Release History.

In the next release, this has been fixed. It should be posted to the site soon.

Thank you for pointing out that thread. I certainly hope they fix this known bug very soon. I am evaluating the program and although I have 30 days to do so before they charge I am not going to purchase it until this problem is fixed.

The "save image as" feature for embedded images is essential to me and is used quite often.

    Thanks again

I found another thread that pointed out that you can get the latest version which corrects this "save image as" bug that is NOT as of the writing of this email up yet and is not currently listed in the program history of previous versions.

Go to this link and click on the big green button that says Free Download. It will install the latest version with the saving embedded images fixed!

eM Client is free to use but the free version only allows 2 email accounts. With the paid version you get the extra feature and unlimited email accounts.

Me too....I found it some 10 years ago. Closest thing I found to windows vista/7 email client (live mail), I think that's what it was called back then.

I was using the free version of eM Client but used GMX mail collector to read messages from more than two email accounts.

All Your Email Accounts In One Place With Mail Collector | GMX

Create gmx email account then add your other email accounts via mail collector. Configure eMClient (free) to use your gmx email account as one of the two free accounts and it will still import mail from your other accounts via your gmx account.

FYI: Free version of eMClient configured to use GMX and Outlook dot com email accounts with GMX mail collector pulling in emails from a few other accounts.
