Using Windows mail in win7 can i export emails into windows 10?
Im currently using windows mail in windows 7 and want to change to windows 10. Can i export all of my messages using the email client in windows 10?

im not using windows mail live or outlook, using windows mail from vista i brought over into windows 7

The OP is not using Microsoft Office Outlook so the procedure in the linked article is not relevant.

That link covers everything and is not about Outlook. It is about migrating the data from a Essentials email client and then you can use a trial of O365 Outlook to then migrate out for other clients. Because of the way that Essentials and mailare written, it is not straightforward as it would be with Outlook.
The link is relevant, I used the IMAP method which does not require the use of the Outlook application.
The Emails are synced to an Email Account, I used an Outlook Mail Account but it could be a different one.
Then sync that Account to the Mail App in Windows 10.
All my old Emails can be viewed either with the Windows 10 Mail App, or using the Web interface to the Outlook Mail account.
You can export individual emails as a *.eml file if required with the Windows 10 Mail App.
Whatever Mail account you use, look at what the export facilities are, if that is a requirement.
