    Outlook (MS Office 2019) printing

Hello I am using Outlook (MS Office 2019). As the responses to an email progress, the text of each previous response shifts to the right (see image below). This makes it very difficult to read the original message.

I "Recall" this email, "selected all" text, open "paragraph tab" and and applied a negative "withdrawal" of -10 cm. At first glance, all response messages are aligning left without withdrawal. But when I launch the printing of that email, the lag comes back (see image below).
Is there a way to get rid of this lag?

    Regards

    This is controlled by
    File,
    Options,
    Mail,
    Replies and forwards,
[both When replying to a message and When forwarding a message],
Click on the dropdown list & select anything other than Include & indent original message text

I think this will solve the problem for future emails but I do not know how it affects existing emails.

You might find that you were almost there with your previous attempt to reformat an existing email but perhaps you forgot to save the email before printing it.

    TNX Try3
File/Options/Mail/Replies and forwards was set as yr enclosed image:"Include original message text".
    Tested other options: "
Include & withdrawal original message text"... same problem.
    So, I come back to
    :"Include original message text".

    {"Include & withdrawal original message text" is "Include & indent original message text". I imagine that your Outlook says retrait - that translates as indent when we are discussing layouts or positioning}

Have you tried some test messages using the setting Include original message text? Just send them to yourself then reply to yourself to see how they behave.
    - I do not think that any new messages will get indented by your Outlook.
    - Existing messages will probably continue to be indented and so require manual reformatting.
    - If you receive replies to your messages from somebody who has set indenting then I also think that you will have to manually reformat the messages to get what you want.

The solution is to create a reply and then highlight all of the text and remove the "Hanging indent", which is what you are dealing with. Use your email address in the TO:, remove all other emails that may have been sent this message. The indents should be removed in the new email. Then "Save As" in File to save as a PDF. Print from that PDF.

    Hi,
I tried again with the existing email to "Recall" it, select (highlight) all, open "paragraph tab" and applied a negative "withdrawal" of -10 cm. At first glance, all response messages are aligning left without withdrawal.
But when I launch the printing of that email, the lag comes back (see image below). And sent it to myself. The received email is exactly the same as the original (winth indents). So, it does not works.

The solution is, copy all from the original email (with indents) to a new email.
All indents are automatically removed in the new email.
Send the new email to myself...
    That's all fox

    TNX for yr help

You have to Select All then right click and choose to remove the hanging indents.
