How to send an email using Cortana?

I haven't bothered using Cortana much. In theory, you can ask Cortana to compose and send an email. However, when I say write email / send email or something similar, Cortana just does a web search on that phrase. I have the Mail app ad Outlook 2010. How do you configure Cortana to send an email using these?

Hi, does that actually work in 1903 after the changes to Cortana? It just does a web search when I try it.

    Cortana does accept 'Open Mail'

    (Reminders still work though).

I'm on 1809. It will open Outlook but any other attempt to send an email just results in a web search. It should work as post 2 but it doesn't.

You have to be on the business plan for Office 365 to integrate Cortana for email.

Ah, without that you might as well - if you really want to play around with voice control- say e.g.

    Hey Cortana, Open speech recognition
(you have to click the mike in the S.R. box)
(Hey Cortana, enable speech recognition - interestingly opened the Control Panel for S.R )
Open Mail - opens the Mail app
New mail - the Mail app starts a new mail dialogue - cursor at 'To:' field

    etc... have fun!

OK - I've turned it off again. I'll try again in 5 years.
