    How to use Email client?

I have been using web interface free email for many years, but
I recently really get tired of the web interface of Yahoo! Mail.

I know little about SMTP and POP3 but I can imagine there could
be a lot of problems about backup of emails, synchronization of mails between local PC and web server, especially when changing computer. I need to keep some emails for many years. Now, my Yahoo! mail box still have some mails back to 15+ years ago.

I haven't used email clients for many years.

I'd like if my concern still exists.

For example, if I delete a mail from the client, would it at the same time, deleted from the web server?

If I create a draft, which is not yet sent, would it at the same time, create a draft on the web server too?

I want to do anything on the client while it is at the same time, or can be manually updated to the web side so that I would not lose my work after changing to another computer

You dont say what client but in general they now use imap and most have an option to leave emails on the server. Another way I use is to use gmail and that collects all my emails from lots of address and you can import from old server that means you have emails in to places

I just did a test, if I delete an email from the client, it will not delete at the same time on the web-based email.

    Is it normal?

can you rephrase your word? I don't understand what you said and you are not responding actually to what I ask about

    What concerns?

if I delete a mail from the client, would it at the same time, deleted from the web server
NO...there is a setting in the web-based email to either save or delete from the server when you delete it from the email client.

If I create a draft, which is not yet sent, would it at the same time, create a draft on the web server too?
NO...as you are working in the email client and that's separate from the web-based client.

As I stated above it's independent of the web-based email service.

I would quit suing Yahoo web-based service and use Gmail web-based service. Yahoo mail service has been breached to many times for my liking. You can add as many email accounts you want as in Yahoo.

As for an email client...I use Outlook from my MS Office 2016 Pro Plus. For a free email client I like and used eM Client. The free version allows 2 email accounts while the paid version is unlimited. It's as close to Outlook but with out all the extra business part of it. It's very good IMO. Here's a link to a few others.....

If you want a email client that is fun and interactive to a degree....Incredimail is really fun to use. I'm surprised it's still around....I liked it so much when I got my first computer that I bought the software.....some 15 years ago. I might download it again and just play with it.

    Use IMAP.

Fox example gmail, once you enable it, you can check, how to set it up in an email client, if it supports IMAP.
