    My Thunderbird is version 68.0 (32-bit) which is on the release update channel? Maybe your version is on a different channel?

    I see you are using the 64-bit version. That explains the difference but you might be interested in the following: - How to migrate 32-bit Thunderbird to 64-bit on Windows - gHacks Tech News .

    Hope this helps.

    Hi folks

    @Josey Wales

    @wiganken

    Should be on rel 68.0 which is also on the release directory 64 bit version too-- I think that one was updated sometime recently in Aug.

    I'm on a Linux machine at the moment but the version should be the same for Windows as well.

    I do not like Thunderbird 68 so I will stay on TB 60.9.

    Hi there
    OK but that's another issue -- we often (plenty on this Forum for example) have problems with new builds of Windows etc and decide for all sorts of reasons to revert -- but one must be careful to avoid giving out incorrect info --if you don't like V68 -- your choice of course -- then you shouldn't say current working version is V60 -- state that the newer version has defects, you don't like it or whatever.

    Sorry - not trying to have a go at you but we need to keep as far as we can things like available builds and software releases versions reasonably accurate - plus any defects associated with newer versions or missing / useless features or even added bloatware which we all really don't want.

    Cheers

    Those were not my words, you need to tell this to Mozilla & not me.

    It says Release Update Channel . I am in The IP and was in the Fast Ring from build 9926 to 17XXX. I never had an issue with TB in any build. I will not post any further updates on anything dealing with Firefox or Thunderbird in the future to avoid this Issue.

    Also in The OP it does not state anywhere that this was the latest release. I posted it to give users a choice.

    I appreciated Josey's heads up on 60.9, the release I'd assumed was the latest by my Thunderbird's 'About' message:

    I also appreciated Jimbo's heads up on 68.0 as the current release, having thought because of it's advanced version number, and first seen here in last weeks discussion, surely this was some future beta channel like Firefox.

    Latest Thunderbird Release 68.0

    However I see now, and thanks to these discussions, that 68.0 is what you'll get when go to the website to download the latest:

    Thunderbird — Download Thunderbird — Mozilla

    Also worthy of note to those like me on the 60.9 release was this message in the "What's New In Thunderbird 68" blog about users on 60.9 not being offered 68.0 for a few weeks which explains why I was not yet notified..

    I went and installed TB 68 since 60.9 will be updated to it anyway. It works good.
