Looking for a new email client

I’ve been using the MS Office 2007 suite including Outlook since it was new! I want to convert to open source LibreOffice and remove MS Office completely so need a new mail client. I also use Opera as my default browser.

I like the look and function of Mailbird but it seems I will need to purchase the Pro version to import my sizeable OST and PST files. I’ve tried Thunderbird and SeaMonkey but didn’t like the layout. Not interested in a chat function or interfaces to other social media apps. Just a decent email client, IMAP or POP.

What free (preferably) open source products are recommended that can effectively and securely replace the Outlook application and import it’s user files?

    I've heard good things about

eM Client | The Best Email Client for Windows and MacOS

Pro vs. Free version | eM Client

eM Client for Outlook | eM Client

but have no personal experience with it.

I've been on Thunderbird for at least 10 years, so can live with its peculiarities.

I, too, have been on Thunderbird for years. I wasn't real happy with the layout, particularly the fonts, size, and colors. I have 1 extension installed on T-Bird,

Theme Font & Size Changer for ThunderBird :: Add-ons for Thunderbird

It's in a format you unzip and drag and drop to install.

I now have a display that's easier on my eyes. You can choose anything you wish.
