How to Import Favorites from Windows 10 Favorites folder to Edge

When I try to import Favorites from Windows Favorites folder, by going to Edge Settings > Import or Export > Import from file. Then select: C drive > Users > User name > Favorites folder.

It only shows the URL short cuts in the Favorites sub-folder, with no way to select them all. And the 200 odd normal favorites are missing.

    What am I doing wrong?

The Favorites folder is where IE stores its bookmarks. You should be able to import it in Edge by importing from Internet Explorer rather than importing from a file.

You need to make an .html file containing all the links in order to use 'import from a file'. To import from a file you first need to export to a file from the browser concerned. Here's how that's done for Firefox.
