I just got the v91.0 update.. and am hating it... it forces on the Proton UI...
it sucks.. my eyes don't like it at all..
and the check-boxes in the Firefox settings are missing their check marks to tell me if they are enabled or not ..

    like for example:
    Digital Rights Management (DRM) Content
    Play DRM-controlled content
    Learn more

yup Mozilla has gone off the deep end this time..

    @Melchior

    Set browser.proton.enabled back to true
in about:config to see the check boxes.

I'm really not liking this design with tons of white space between bookmarks, etc.
Why not give us an easy option change the spacing?

I just cannot understand why anyone would think having double spaced bookmarks is a good idea. It's a complete waste of space.

Well, maybe infants may find it OK.

I can only assume it has something to do with touch screen, ease of use?

If that is the case, then why couldn't they make it optional / configurable? They have deliberately ensured against that.

I am a long time user of this browser.
I was an early adopter of it since way back when it was Mozilla Firebird. The first few versions didn't even come with an installer, but I loved it.

But I'm seriously considering dumping it.
I have better things to do with my time then try and circumvent Mozilla's hideous decisions.
I don't know what is making them make these crazy decisions, but it's clear that they don't care about their long time diehard users. They are killing a once great browser.
