Hi, I want to export email folder as PST file if possible contacts also. I have also read and done precisely as mentioned in your tutorial of Export Outlook 2016 Email, Contacts, and Calendar to PST file
Export Outlook 2016 Email, Contacts, and Calendar to PST file
but when I look inside the folder that is empty. I have tried to export on external drive as well as on computer but no avail.

I shall be thankful if someone would guide me.
    Thank you

NOTE: My Internet provider email account is added in to the MS Outlook, which receive and send emails. I do got Outlook account but I rarely use that. Does this information matter to solve my problem?

In the navigation pane on the left-hand side, if you manually dragndrop the desired folder onto the new pst file does that work [drag then press ctrl before dropping to make it a copy operation not a move operation].

Post your question in the tutorial thread itself.

Hi, thank you for the reply with URL link. I followed one link and re-tried to export at the end a password window appear I click on cancel and it does not export. Am I making mistake? As per the article
Export or backup email, contacts, and calendar to an Outlook .pst file - Office Support

Outlook begins the export immediately unless a new Outlook Data File (.pst) is created or a password-protected file is used.
If you’re creating an Outlook Data File (.pst), an optional password can help protect the file. When the Create Outlook Data File dialog box appears, enter the password in the Password and Verify Password boxes, and choose OK. In the Outlook Data File Password dialog box, enter the password, and choose OK.

I do not need any password protected file, I just simply want to export data. Which password am I suppose to enter?
Would you please clarify this part and oblige.
    Thank you

This comment does not sound like it is about exporting from one pst/ost file to a pst file. No msg files are created because you stay within Outlook the whole time. You sound like you are dragging from Outlook into File explorer.

I was referring to dragging n dropping entirely within the Navigation pane of Outlook i.e. dragging from your normal pst/ost file onto the pst file you created as the target of the export operation.

You did select Include subfolders during the export?

I tried once again to export email folder as PST file and it worked. Then I exported all remaining folders. Later I also copied emails as msg.
    Thanks for helping me.
