Is there a way to force Edge to download PDF Files, or open in Acrobat Reader?
Best solution may be to save the file and then use 'open with'

You have to use any browser BUT Edge if you want to click on a .pdf link and have the document open in your installed PDF reader...Adobe, Foxit, etc.. It's a good thing Windows10 allows other browsers, and to make one of them the "default" browser, or I would have never upgraded from Win7.

Looks like everyone is happy with having .pdf files open inside your preferred browser?
Nope, I want PDFs to open in my preferred PDF reader when downloaded, and that's what they do. I can then save them or read them online.

As has been stated before, you need to go to Start->Settings->Default App, scroll down to Choose default apps by File type and once the page is populated, scroll down to .pdf and set your PDF viewer as default. Alternatively, you can Choose default apps by protocol or Set defaults by app.

I do the same a Wynona, I use Foxit Phanton PDF and just download them, I do not need nor want to read them on line. That is what bookmarks are for.

Roy, thanks for your suggestion (i just found it). Unfortunately that key in my registry indicates that the pdf print should go to my downloads folder BUT Edge is putting the stuff into my Documents folder. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

At least if IE 11 is your Default Browser ( I don't like Edge either ) and you change you default PDF Reader in Win10 to Adobe Reader ( I still use 9.5.5) , in Adobe Reader , in Preferences, on the Internet Tab UNCHECK open PDF in Browser .
