Adobe says Flash is Disabled while I have it Enabled in Edge settings

I am still using the Standard (Non-Chromium) version of Edge.
How come when I tested Adobe Flash, it says that Flash is disabled and under my Edge settings, it is not disabled according to my attached image?
    I am confused...

I had to click on the Puzzle piece and allow Flash for this session.

I was equally confused when I recently checked Flash for Edge as well.

Does Edge block Flash by default unless we allow it to run on a webpage?

That I don't know. Others who use Edge might be able to answer this

I was just checking after being curious why this recent CU KB4507453 18362.239 didn't include a flash update like every other monthly has for a while now.

It appears that the latest version of Flash player 32.0.0.223 released July 9th does not include any new security fixes, just bug fixes. The latest security release is still 32.0.0.207 which Microsoft delivered as the June 11th update.

KB4503308 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player to Windows 10 June 11

Seems MS only release Flash updates if there is a security issue involved.

    @Bree Thanks!

Even though Flash is history, I'm always curious when I see these kinds of changes in Microsoft's routine.

For instance my systeminfo notes show that in January's CU cycle for 1809 it included this Flash update:

"2019-01 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1809 (KB4480979)"

And yet Adobe's Release Notes says it was just bug fixes. So maybe some new policy changes.

Also interesting that July's IE11 security update (KB4507434) asks to be updated by Adobe to 32.0.0.223 while Edge does not.

I did some tests under the Flash Test page from Adobe
    https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/

So it appears that Edge by default does block Flash but the user has the option to allow it to run. If Flash is turned OFF from the Edge settings, then Flash is blocked with no option to click to allow.
