Original Mail Yahoo. Now what to do

Using MS10 browser and email now. Not happy with windows email performance. I know it brings over mail from Yahoo so I was thinking of just using Yahoo mail. I am not to clever these days and cannot get Yahoo assigned a default email.. Help please!

Yahoo Mail is strictly web-based, you'll have to set up your Yahoo Account within an email client then set that as default.

If you're not happy with Windows Mail, you could try others:

    Thunderbird
    Mailbird
    eM Client

    Yuppers!

Actually, I use Mailbird for personal cuz it's lightning fast, eM Client for business.

Thunderbird is great but a little too bloated for my liking.

I have 2 Yahoo Email accounts (UK) and 4 others using the Windows 10 Mail App has worked for 6 years, no problem.
I also use the direct Webmail access as well.

Rather better than the previous WLM 2012 which never worked well with my 2 Yahoo accounts in UK.

The latest Mail App version in Win 10 is better than it was, more protocols seem to be supported.
I have it setup with Live Tiles and Notifications etc. It is the Default Mail App.

I have tried various others but nothing great, for free anyway.

    Thank you for your reply.
I do want to use Yahoo so will you please provide instructions regarding setting up my Yahoo Account within an email client then set that as default. I do not know how to set up an email client then set that as default.
