Browser Cache files

Hello,Before shutting down the computer, I run "CCleaner" to remove all 'coockies' and browser cache files.My default browser is 'Chrome', but most cache files are from 'Edge'.My question: When I start the computer (day after cleaning), internet is still not connected, ocasionaly I ran 'CCleaner' and there are many browser cache files, mainly from 'Edge'. Where did they come from ?(I am the only user).Answers will be appreciated.ThanksMotim

Thanks for the answer.
I think you have not noticed I wrote "Internet is still not connected.." which means that nothing in the computer has any connection to the outside. So where come the cache files from (mostly from Edge) after the previous cleaning (twice).

Hi, Motim. I am definitely not an expert on this subject, but have similar concerns. Evidently the Windows 10 Operating System independently caches Web information regardless of what browser you use, and it keeps information on sites visited more or less indefinitely. Three years ago there was a thread on this subject, which you can find here:
Disable WebCacheV01.dat
but that thread is essentially dead, and the information given therein seems no longer to be valid. This whole subject is essentially a security/privacy issue, a facet of computing that is decreasingly under user control. Be forewarned that cached Web information is managed by Windows in multiple files that are well hidden and can automatically reproduce when deleted. It is pretty much impossible to purge this information permanently and irrevocably.

See if this works for clearing Edge’s browsing data and hopefully keep them cleared if you don’t use Edge
Open Edge
Press Alt+X
Select Settings
Select Privacy and security
Uncheck browsing history and other items that looks like it makes sense to do.



Close Edge

Open your Chrome default browser
Open CCleaner
Select Options and then Cookies
Move whitelisted cookies from the right side to the left side
Run CCleaners Cleaner
Afterward, shut down and start back up.

Now let’s address “internet is still not connected”

Thanks for detailed answer.
Before shutting down computer yesterday, did everything as described 1:1, CCleaner cleaned all.
This morning, Internet still not connected (plug-out), started computer, started CCleaner just to see - see for yourself attached screenshot, and its only partial list. All from Edge. If possible I would like to uninstall it - I do not use it, and I am the only user of my computer.

Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to uninstall Edge in Windows 10.
--- I’ve seen recommendations on how to do that but I wouldn’t trust them.
Also please know I do not use Chrome but I hope I can be helpful on some of your issues.

I haven’t gone to the level you’d like to consider but check these ideas.
--- I wish I could advise on what to do first: see what applies to you so at least applicable recommendations could follow along.

If you do not create system image backups, please do so.
That is so important not only as a safeguard of recovering your system if called for but also the availability when taking on a project such as you need to investigate adds to the fact that system image backups becomes invaluable.

If you can't connect to the Internet, this should be determined first on "What’s going on?" because how can you get around to examine some of the ideas that have been presented?
--- Please let us know why you cannot connect to the Internet.

EDIT: Are you trying to connect wirelessly or wired?
