Any Ideas How to Solve Missing Internet Temp Files Location

Reinstalled Avast Free late last night, now have my Internet temp files location missing in Internet options, and it's interrfering with Microsoft Edge Extensions, like ublock origin and Lastpass Password Manger

    Any help is appreciated

Guess switching Antiviruses to see which program i wanted to stay with wasn't such a good idea, Got 86 Percent Life left on Western Digital blue SSD, so if i have to i can do one more clean install, system image probably wouldn't restore well, not sure if i was using Avast or Windows Defender when i did the image

Just will Reset the PC later tonight, and reinstall everything again, probably easiest method to solving this issue

Probably worth doing a proper check on that and make sure you have a current disk image, ready to replace your drive if necessary.

An in-place upgrade repair install is an option of course, with the same build of iso.

Unfortunate, unless relatively trivial to set up again.

The routine use of disk imaging (of Windows and any other partitions or disks) is frequently recommmended here- Macrium Reflect (free) e.g.

Had Problems with Programs crashing as well to Desktop in addition to the missing Internet temp files location there, Probably swapped Antivirus too much, my last image prior to this issue i wasn't sure if was using Avast at the time or Defender, so i opted to do a complete clean install

New Image created once all drivers was in, well most of them realizes forgot the printer driver Oops

So far system running back as normal

Been using Avast for well over probably 20 years now, started in January 2006 after a major infection when i was using Windows XP and Testing Windows Live OneCare at the time, infection so bad they had to replace the system motherboard, processor, ram, hard drive, Boot sectors, trojan viruses, worms in bios, really was bad infection. After that switched to Avast Free, i attempted to get used to Windows Defender on the 3 systems here, but i guess maybe not for me, as i keep reinstalling Avast Free for some reason, not sure why

Then it happened out of the blue again today for some reason, really don't get it how it keeps happening....(Fixed for now) gonna do a check again on the SSD later on just to make sure it's not going bad.

I fixed it for now, but wonders how long gonna stay fixed this time

Can't believe problem came back after a clean install

All I did was shut down PC over night for a change, and dust clean out this morning, and reload this morning, then realized hey it's missing again

Found a report of this here:

    - no solution

Worth looking around for other occurrences.

Do you have any cleaners scheduled to run?

Try a clean boot and see if the same thing occurs. (Note- scheduled tasks would still run).

No Real Scheduled Tasks, except Avast Free emergency update, and Oversteer, perhaps i shouldn't have reinstalled Avast, but i did, then i noticed problem was back, fixed temporary for now or for good, haven't rebooted system to check for sure though.

Though am tired of fixing it all the time

Ok Uninstalling Avast, Reconfiguring Defender, seems to have fixed it on standard user account, after a restart-it was no longer blank, (did 2 restarts, and so far holding at default path)

Have to check the Admin account in moment before I marked as finally solved
