    Forwarding emails saved to desktop

I save many emalls to archives on an external hard drive.

I can't find any option to forward these saved emails. Or copy them into Windows 10 Mail app. Which could be done in Win Live Mail with the top ribbon buttons.

Can anyone help with this issue.

Please be aware the Win 10 Mail client is a limited client compared to other more mature products and may not offer the features you want.

    Thanks for the inpurt dachina.

I knew Win 10 Mail was limited, but had tried various other email clients when I couldn't install Win Live Mail on my Win 10 Pro 64bit OS. These included Win 10 Mail, Outlook, eM Client and Thuderbird. And none of them really did was I was able to do in Win Live Mail. I was prepared to stick with Win 10 Mail, but after saving several emails to archives, I discovered these emails could not be forwarded or replied to from within the saved email. Hence the reason for this thread.

I had posted a separate thread to seek help installing Win Live Mail, as the installer kept failing, no matter what i did. But despite trying all the suggestions, and failing, I finally go it installed, after I created this thread.

This is a link to the other thread HERE!

Glad you found a way forward. I abandoned MS email clients after Outlook Express -> Win Mail (7), then no client..(8).. Mail (which I've never used).

Plus MS scattered the data hither and thither... so-> Thunderbird.

Thanks dalchina, and I totally agree about MS scattering the data hither & thither. I can never understand why they replaced WLMail with an inferior email client app in Win 10. WLM was a proven runner over many years.

And I remember when Win 7 replaced Vista ,,, Hey! No email client. Then a hacked version of Vista Mail was developed. But it didn’t work 100%. And eventually it was corrupted by updates. And that’s when I started using WLM.

Having said all of that, I think Thunderbird is probably the best replacement for WLM.

    Cheers 😀👍
