    Difficulty exporting Google Chrome Bookmarks

I have version 74.0.3729.157 on my computer, which I wish to temporarily un-install, and then install the latest offering for 64bit systems. The current version may have been compromised.

I have reached the bookmark manager, but can not see the option to export the bookmarks.

If someone has had this problem here, I hope they will ne able to assist. Please!

Yes, I can confirm this: I just went through the exercise and saw that you must dig a bit deeper into the menu hierarchy, as described in the preceding post to actually export bookmarks. Thanks!

    Hi Folks

do it the easy way :

    1) Open another browser -- I know a lot of people hate IE11 but it's fine for this purpose or FF works as well --if you don't like the browser you can always uninstall afterwards.

    2) Use the browser's own menu from Import bookmarks / favourites from another browser

    3) scroll to Chrome.

Q.E.D job done. !!! No messing about or trying to find hidden or hard to find options.

Now if you change back again to Chrome -- say a new release or whatever - do the thing in reverse --import bookmarks / favourites from another browser and scroll to the browser you used for the import.

    Cheers

One more way is to backup a file - Chrome\User Data\Default\Bookmarks
You can even backup nameless bookmarks, which can not be exported.

Necro-posting since this is a thread that comes up early in my Google search...
chipwood, don't feel bad at all. I came across this thread because I was having the same issue. The Google Chrome site has text only directions that mimic what Edwin initially posted which are not very clear. Thankfully, Edwin added screenshots to clarify what the text instructions really should say...
    On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More .
Select Bookmarks and then Bookmark Manager.
*In Bookmark Manager*, at the top *right*, click More and then Export Bookmarks.
