I am trying to set up my icloud email on my windows 10 laptop. it says attention required, update the password for this account. umm the password i have entered is the same password i use for my icloud account on my iphone and ipad so i dont get what the problem is at all.
you need an app specific password. You can get it by logging in to your appleid page, gmail too, fyi. Save it, because i think you can reuse in outlook elsewhere.

You’ll require an app specific password generated on your Apple account & entered instead of your account password.
it looks like i downloaded the icloud for windows app and it appears to be syncing with outlook for now.
